MixTek Corporation (later to become MixTek Systems, LLC) was founded in 1995 by Richard Gray and Christopher Mears with the ultimate goal of establishing their company as the pre-eminent global source of dual dispensing systems -- both for aerosol and non-aerosol products. While concurrently working on a number of novel dispensing applicator systems, and styling devices, their primary focus was firmly fixed on the development of a dependable, accurate, and affordable co-dispensing system for aerosols. Prototype after prototype was developed, modified, tested and then further honed -- eventually resulting in the current System.
While a number of products featuring the MixTek System are currently being commercialized, MixTek continues to explore ways in which the System can be further optimized. Gray and Mears consider such efforts to be inherent to the company's dedication to creative research and development, and customization to meet their customer's needs. A dedication that has proven to be the lifeblood of the organization.

Richard F. Gray:
With over 20 years experience in product development and marketing, Richard Gray founded Medarco Corporation, a leading direct mail and outbound telemarketing distributor of select lines of medical supplies for Physicians, Podiatrists, and pet supplies for Veterinarians, professional breeders, kennels, and groomers. After eventually selling the company to W.R.Grace and remaining on as President for a six year period he served as President of Koyabashi Pharmaceuticals America, where he developed joint ventures for fast moving consumer products to be sold in Japan.
Christopher Mears:
Christopher Mears, a third generation hair designer from the UK, is an internationally renowned hair designer and stylist whose multifaceted career has included work on top artistic teams for major hair and product companies, and ownership of successful unisex hair salons in London for over ten years. In addition, Chris has managed hair salons on board for some of the largest cruise ships in the world. Mr. Mears' significant background in the chemistry and application of hair color has provided valuable insights and inspiration to a number of MixTek designs.
