FAQ's

Is MixTek system protected by patents?
The MixTek System and related technology is already protected both by two comprehensive patents. In addition, MixTek System LLC continues to aggressively pursue protection for its innovations on an ongoing basis, both in the US and internationally.

Can the MixTek System be used for liquid as well as spray applications?
Both liquid delivery, and spray versions of the MixTek System have been developed. The liquid version has been successfully employed to deliver a wide range of products varying from water-thin liquids to very thick (>100cps) creams and gels. Similarly, the spray version is capable of delivering a fine mist or coarse window-cleaner type foam, . . . and just about anything between.

Can the MixTek system dispense products in other than a 1:1 ratio?
The MixTek System has initially been designed to accurately dispense two materials of comparable viscosity and flow properties on a one-to-one basis. It can, however, deliver materials at different ratios by varying any or all of the following parameters: product, propellant, or orifice characteristics that impact rate of dispensing from either or both of the aerosol components.orifice(s), or inner channel dimensions of the MixTek System.

Can the design of the MixTek system be modified for specialized applications?
The functional characteristics and ergonomic design of the MixTek System can be customized to support specific applications. MixTek's design team has already gained extensive experience in this regard and is ready to support further innovation.

Can our current product components be dispensed by MixTek without need for reformulation?
Some degree of experimentation is required to determine if product components be dispensed by MixTek without need for reformulation. In most cases, it is likely that some degree of modification will be required to achieve truly ideal performance.

Will the MixTek System work with any brand or style of aerosol valve? . . . Of aerosol container?
The MixTek System can readily be customized to accommodate most of the styles of aerosol valves and containers that are supplied by the major manufacturers.

Is the MixTek system available to product segments on an exclusive basis?
MixTek System LLC will consider granting licenses to certain industry/market segments on an exclusive basis. Please contact us for further information.

Can my company mold the MixTek System components ourselves?
Under certain circumstances, MixTek System LLC will support the molding and manufacture of the System by licensees or their preferred molders.
