Mort Westman Associates
From the onset of their collaboration Richard Gray and Christopher Mears recognized the importance of working with industry leaders that could minimize the learning curve. Shortly after their first meeting to discuss developing a system for mixing and dispensing oxidation hair color, they successfully formed a strong working relationship with two key suppliers of related aerosol componentry -- Lechner USA and Precision Valve Corporation. With the assistance of these companies, their, then, fledgling company developed some crude prototypes for testing -- which greatly exceeded their expectations. Buoyed by these successes they engaged groups of industrial design engineers, aerosol specialists and formulating chemists to bring The MixTek System to its current generation.

Mort's in-depth background in both hair dyes and aerosol products makes him uniquely qualified to support the MixTek effort.
HAIR DYES:
Mort has formulated hair dye products for both retail and professional markets at Clariol, Breck, LaMaur/DoBrands, Alberto-Culver, and for a number of additional companies in his current role as a consultant.
AEROSOLS:
Mort was a hands-on aerosol product formulator at Shulton/Breck. He went on to manage several major aerosol departments and was responsible for a number of significant aerosol product lines, including Alberto-Culver's VO5.
